At Mt. Fuji, "Sunrise of Compassion." Commemorating the end of World War II and anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This is the 5th annual event created by Tatsumura at Mt. Fuji, gathering for compassion for others. From midnight to sunrise, music and talks will take place. At the sunrise we join hands, praying for Happiness for All Beings. In it's 2nd year, the event was chosen as part of the United Nations' "Year of the Mountains 2002." There will be Japanese Spa experience after the event. Maybe more. |

SOME USEFUL INFORMATION
- Get your long distance credit number. MCI, AT&T, or Verizon are recommended.
Register your own number plus PIN number. This will facilitates your call to anywhere from Japan’s regular payphone. It is often difficult and expensive to find international phone and phone card.
- BRING SO LITTLE. Sets of underwear. Comfortable travel pants and T-shirts. One set of white, large towel and wash cloth you like. Washing your clothes is possible at IKOMA. Temperature is the same as New York, except Mt. Fuji (can go down less than 50F). Bring sweaters and sweat shirt, socks, comfortable shoes and casual clothes only. If possible, white outfit at Shinto shrines at Tenkawa.
- Bring notebook, camera, flashlight, raincoat or umbrella.
- Pocket money – $200 - $300 + whatever you want to purchase. Exchange to Yen before you leave. Credit cards are acceptable in some places. ATM machines are available in big cities.
- Bring only one small suitcase with rollers. We have many stairs and transfers.
- FREE DAYS in Tokyo and Kyoto – Meals are on your own. Other days, meals are included.
Meals are usually Japanese style.
- Accommodation in Japan - rooms are shared by 3-4 people. Usually you sleep on Tatami Japanese style,
as I want you to experience.
- Japanese are always on time. Please be on time and courteous. People that we are meeting are important people.
- Give plenty of time for the airport to meet other companions. You have the names and seat numbers. . Your tickets are electronic tickets. You will receive boarding pass when you check in. I will meet you at the Osaka Airport. BON VOYAGE!!!

OKIDO (Oki’s way) is a total health care practice. Japanese yoga is a unique form of yoga that has been practiced for the
